Ducats Earthmoving Pty Ltd is the applicant of EL9763 in the following Local Government Area

 

  • Inverell Shire Council

 

Ducats Earthmoving Pty Ltd plans on carrying out low impact Prospecting Operations from time to  time on the Licence Area. No prospecting will be carried out without the prior consent of the landholder and without an Access and Compensation agreement being concluded with the landholder.

 

Exploration will be conducted with the view to discover commercial quantities of Group 2 minerals (non-metallic minerals).

 

This document outlines Ducats Earthmoving Pty Ltd’s policy with respect to its Community and Landholder Liaison Program obligations.

 

The purpose of the Community and Landholder Liaison Program is to provide a management framework, which will assist Ducats Earthmoving Pty Ltd to identify and consult with landholders in the Licence area. Additionally, it describes the engagement approach that is used as part of the Community and Landholder Liaison Program.

 

The key principles of the program include:

 

  • Responding to landholder enquiries in a timely and factual manner
  • Providing information to stakeholders ahead of significant exploration activities

 

Ducats Earthmoving Pty Ltd endeavours to promote good relationships with landholders in a manner that will enable it to carry out its exploration activities in a responsible and effective manner, whilst respecting the needs of landholders and the local community.

 

One of the objectives of the Community and Landholder Liaison Program is to provide an effective means of communication with all landholders and other stakeholders.

 

Other objectives include recording feedback from all stakeholders and providing measures to address specific landholder enquiries. The consultation process and the means of dealing with landholder enquiries are outlined below.

 

Consultation Process:

  • Identify location of proposed activities
  • Contact with the landholders
  • Negotiation of proposed activity
  • Negotiate a suitable Access and Compensation Agreement
  • Advise neighbouring properties
  • Commence Prospecting Operations

 

Management of Landholder Enquiries:

 

  • Community Liaison Officer receives enquiry and details of enquiry are logged
  • Community Liaison Officer responds directly and resolves enquiry
  • Community Liaison Officer responds and requests an agreed time frame for resolution of the enquiry
  • Enquiry resolved

 

The Community Liaison Officer is responsible for ensuring that the Community and Landholder Liaison Program is implemented and ensuring that the program is maintained and monitored in accordance with the exploration licence conditions. The Community Liaison Officer must ensure that an information line is available operational.

 

Prospecting Operations can include:

 

  • Ground Surveys
  • Soil sampling
  • Rock sampling
  • Costeaning

 

The exploration license includes conditions with respect to environmental management and details the approvals required by Ducats Earthmoving Pty Ltd before it conducts any Prospecting Operations.

 

Ducats Earthmoving Pty Ltd obtains the necessary approvals before the commencement of any Prospecting Operations on the Exploration Lease.

 

Prospecting Operations will only occur between 7.00 am and 5.00 pm Mondays to Fridays and between 8.00 am and 1.00 pm on Saturdays. No Prospecting Operations take place during Sundays, public holidays or outside these hours without the express consent of the affected landholders.
